To all members,

Hello again,

Plenty of information today – when you have made a note of all the competition stuff keep going and drill down to the bits where we can get out and about with our cameras . “Spring has sprung .” !

· NEXT TUESDAY 21st Jan. There will be a selection for the EAF Print Competition. Any member with a print that they think is good but that has not been in a monthly competition, the selection committee would welcome the chance to see it for possible selection for this event.

· 28th Jan PAIR AND SHARE DEADLINE for images to be handed in is Tuesday 28th Jan.

· 3rd MARCH See below from Hugh re. EAF Exhibition

From Hugh.

I’d like to see a large(ish) entry to the EAF exhibition from our members this year. If anyone has a print or PDI that they think is really good (despite or because of what the judge may have said) then I will be collecting their entries until 3rd March.

The rules are at and the cost of entry for each image is 60p. A new rule this year is rule 25 which states :-

25. In order to comply with GDPR laws, ALL INDIVIDUAL ENTRANTS MUST sign the Entry Fees Summary Form signifying specific permission for the EAF to hold and use personal data and to reproduce any exhibit for the benefit of the EAF or the PAGB at no charge unless specifically refused. Images published on the web-site will be in low resolution.

All prints must be accompanied by a PDI and all PDIs should be jpegs in sRGB colour space at a maximum resolution of 1600 X 1200 ( the same as our club specification).

I usually make it a rule not to use this newsletter as an advertising space for commercial workshops – I expect you all get those anyway. However, I do have a poster I’m including today for a workshop as I feel it could be a good follow-on from the talk we had recently about mobile phone photography. I can’t think of receiving any information for a similar workshop and thought it might just be of interest to a few of you. In addition, this event is being held in a Museum (by a Camera Club) and without a bit of commercialism many museums will not survive so I considered it a worthy item. Editor.
